A Good Memory!

Not just this picture... although it makes me smile... (A LOT (LOL) - favorite rock star, favorite photographer ya know).... but the whole weekend. Time with friends.... in a beautiful place.... and 4 live music shows of my favorite kind. I am having flashback memories of different parts of it today... makes for a nice, warm feeling!

Back to Green Smoothies!!

I had tried out Green Smoothies for about two weeks back in September. Then Hurrican Ike zapped us, and I just never got back to them. The time period I was having those for breakfast, I felt better and ate healthier. This morning, I started back. Had a great, yummy Green Smoothie for breakfast. It had baby spinach, bananas and blueberries in it. It makes me feel good I have taken that step towards a more healthy me!

Live Music Countdowns

I love live music! I particularily love live music of the Kris Bell and Bo Bice variety! Those trips combine my love of the music of these men.... as well as my time to be with my special friends across the country I have made over the last few years. I am counting down to two special trips, and I hope they are NOT the last live music trips of this year!

Bo Countdown: 10 days!

Kris Countdown: 63 days!

For someone who never went anywhere before..... I have REALLY enjoyed these trips.... and the happiest I am is when I have started planning the next one before the first one is over LOL! THANK HEAVENS FOR A HUBBY AND KID WHO UNDERSTAND MY NEED TO TRAVEL AND SEE "MY BOYS" PERFORM! Thank heavens for my Partylite business which keeps me in my travel money.

American Idol - Season 8

I have watched AI since season 1. Always have picked a favorite, voted - sometimes lots and sometimes a little. Anyone who knows me, knows season 4 was a different experience for me.... and always will be, but I admit it... I just love American Idol. This year is no different, and my favorite is Danny Gokey. Last night's performance rocked, and I am pretty confident that it took him right into the top 12. I did my part.... voted - both phone and text LOL! First year I have been able to do the text voting. Looking forward to this season.

First Live Music of the Year for Me!

I saw Kris Bell and the band, John Cooper, Shane Sexton, and Bryan Denton at Rock Bar in Nashville, TN on January 30, 2009. I love my trips to see these guys! They rock and very simply have an extra special place in my heart. My prayers and wishes for them are to achieve every piece of success that they want! Already counting down my next time to see them perform. (April 23 and 24 - YEA)! Love to see them do their thing.... and love the friends I will see there. Live music rocks..... but live music of the Kris Bell variety is OUT OF THIS WORLD!

I Have Found IT!

IT being the tattoo I have been thinking about for several years. I knew what I wanted.... a version of a freebird that fit me... and something that would be my response to what I've learned, done and felt over the last few years. The music I have come to love, the musicians that create it, and the friends I have made because of it. Maggie T. at Flickr had a picture of one someone had.... and it is what I want. I want the placement in a different location and the way it is set up just a bit different.... but it is the freebird that has been roaming through my brain for a while now. Now.... will I really get it, where will I get it..... and when. I'll figure that out sooner or later.... but for now, I am excited that I have found THE ONE!
